​The Great Estate of Texas provides more than just the typical estate sale. Each sale is different and we tailor our sales to each client’s needs. Our company has the capacity to handle ALL SIZES of estate sales. We work with each client to make sure they understand the process from start to finish. 

ORGANIZATION:

Before a sale, we bring in an experienced team to organize every item in the sale. We will create a beautiful, comprehensive display of all items to be sold. If, during our staging process, we find items that appear to be sentimental or potentially valuable that weren’t previously mentioned, we will consult with you and get your permission before we sell those items. All available tables, shelves and storage areas will be utilized and additional tables will be provided for display purposes. 

 

PRICING:

We will place a value on all items for sale and prices will be marked with materials that we provide. For items of potential value that are not within our area of expertise, we may choose to engage an outside appraiser. Often, documentation is provided from our research to back up our decision of pricing. The client’s input regarding the value of specific items is always considered.

 

ADVERTISING:

We will advertise on our website via our large database of names and emails of people who have signed up to be on our email list. Descriptions and photos are included on the website.  Advertisements will also be placed in the local newspapers  as well as The Great Estate of Texas Page on Facebook and Instagram.

 

CONDUCT OF THE SALE:

We will conduct the sale in a professional, efficient manner with two main objectives: to sell every available item and to maximize proceeds for our clients. To assist with the sale, we will we will hire as many individuals as are necessary from our pool of seasoned professionals. Much of our staff has been with us for many years.

 

SECURITY:

We will take all reasonable steps to guard against theft of or damage to sale items. Security is one of our primary considerations. We will use locked showcases for anything small that is of great value and we may secure off-duty police officers as is necessary to ensure the security of the sale and the customers.

 

PAYMENT:

During an estate sale, The Great Estate of Texas accepts all major credit cards, checks and cash. The client will receive payment within two weeks of the conclusion of the sale along with a very detailed list of each item that sold and what it sold for.

 
DISPOSAL OF UNSOLD ITEMS:

While we find that most clients prefer to go through items after a sale, we will gladly suggest names of charities that will pick up unsold items at your convenience.

BIDDING PROCESS:

Bids are welcome and taken very seriously!  If you leave a bid, we need the following:

Credit Card #

Expiration 

Security code

Street Address

Zip Code

Signature acknowledging your card will be charged if you are the high bidder.

Your information will be safe with Jennifer Vernon only and then destroyed.
